Lingcod

Lingcod is a fish found only in the Northeastern Pacific Ocean, and in Alaska Lingcod reach their peak size and abundance. Lingcod is unknown to many seafood lovers, but once you try it we think it will become a favorite. Lingcod is firm and meaty, forming large, delicious flakes when cooked. The taste is distinctive yet mild. Many Alaskans will tell you that they prefer Lingcod even over all other fish including Halibut. Just about any recipe that calls for a white fish will be improved by the addition of Lingcod.

We catch all of our Lingcod on hook and line, resulting in very little bycatch of other species; the bycatch is limited to the occasional Halibut, which we release, and Rockfish, which we keep. In practice, many of our fishing trips are Rockfish/Lingcod trips because we catch the two species with similar gear in similar habitats. Like all of our fish, the Lingcod fishery is well managed and sustainable, with little bycatch and no damage to the habitat our fish need to survive.
